Katherine Koch

Katherine Koch, PhD, is an associate professor of educational studies at St. Mary's College of Maryland. She teaches courses in special education, learning disabilities, behavior disabilities, and research design. Prior to this she was an elementary school special education teacher. Dr. Koch's research focuses on ways to create a more inclusive environment for people with disabilities in both school and the community. As a 911 paramedic, she also writes and speaks on the intersection of disability and prehospital emergency medicine, looking at ways to facilitate the assessment and treatment of people with disabilities in medical and trauma emergencies.
