Who are you?
I’m the Senior Operations Manager for Fire Engineering Books. I’ve been with the department for 15 years, and I’ve been with the company for more than 20. I’m so fortunate to be part of the Fire Engineering family.
What have been your roles with Fire Engineering Books & Videos?
I started in customer service, answering phones and keying orders, and eventually I took over inventory and fulfillment.
What do you enjoy most about your job?
I like to be active! I like working in the warehouse and packing books. The most rewarding part of my job is making sure our customers and authors have an excellent experience. We’re not just a book publisher: our customers are first responders. Making sure they feel valued is very important to me.
What do you do when you’re not at work?
At home, my husband and I are usually working outside. We have a 22-year-old daughter who’s quite literally the coolest, most beautiful person I’ve ever met. We also have three dogs, all rescues. I love old cars, and I recently showed my 1979 El Camino (pictured) in the Hogs & Hot Rods car show.
